Celebrating 10 Years of Serving the Nonprofit Sector
Save the date for Verve's 10th anniversary celebration, taking place on Tuesday, December 5, from 6:00-8:30p.m. (location TBA). Since our founding in 1996, Verve Internet Solutions (originally called MRB Communications) has served over 60 organizations, including institutions of higher education, independent schools, associations, environmental organizations, healthcare agencies, retirement communities, social service agencies, and more. Verve's core mission remains "to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations to bring their missions to life online."

Bowman's Hill Online Plant Stewardship Index
Verve recently completed a custom-developed online tool for Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve called the Plant Stewardship Index (PSI). One of only two such tools in the world, the PSI is designed to help land conservationists and property owners conduct ecological assessments in order to preserve the "naturalness" of their properties.

Adult Congenital Heart Association Online Clinic Directory
As part of the Adult Congenital Heart Association's website redevelopment, Verve developed an online searchable database for ACHA's Congenital Heart Defects Clinic Directory. The first of its kind, the Clinic Directory will help adults who have congenital heart defects locate and evaluate the specialized cardiac care available in their local area.

Customized Online Bookstore for Pendle Hill Books
Pendle Hill has long been known for its eclectic bookstore that offers over 1,000 book titles, CDs, gifts, artwork, and more. Verve worked with Pendle Hill to create an online version of the bookstore – complete with shopping cart and inventory management – as the centerpiece of their website redesign project.

Verve's 2nd Free Web Clinic will be held in Delaware at the University of Delaware Center for Community Research & Service. Anyone seeking web "health" advice should attend this hands-on, personalized session. The session is most appropriate for nonprofit website managers, development and marketing staff, and other personnel responsible for website decisions.

The morning seminar "Website Evolution: How to know when it's time to grow," presented by seasoned speaker Leanne Bergey promises to clarify the most murky areas of Internet and web initiatives – your status compared to similar organizations, what your constituents expect, how to improve with limited resources, and how to measure and evaluate what you're doing online.

Sign up ahead of time for a one-on-one website assessment with a "Web Medic" who will talk you through your website and provide a written assessment, a "Website Wellness Report," for you to take away – A $500 value.

Verve announces the upgrade of VerveWeb^TM, the web publishing and content management tool. VerveWeb^TM version 2.1 provides more flexibility and advanced editing techniques to give users even greater control over page editing and publishing. "We responded directly to our clients' needs," said Leanne Bergey, Verve's Founder/President. "They wanted our tool to help them keep the consistency of their look and feel, but wanted more options when it came to hosting, browser compatibility, and flexibility for editing."

Some enhancements to VerveWeb^TM 2.1

• A new interface with large icons and clear instructions
• All edits and historical versions of changes are automatically saved for future reference
• A new WYSIWYG interface allows a wider choice for paragraph and character formatting

In addition, the new VerveWeb^TM is superior to most other tools in the range of choice it provides.

• Any website can be managed by VerveWeb^TM. Your website does not need to be created with our tool.
• You can now host the tool on any server you want. Verve no longer needs to be the host.
• Your website is not "held captive" in a database system. Since VerveWeb^TM automatically produces HTML pages, and uses file transfer protocol (FTP), you can move your website easily to another content management system or web editor such as Macromedia Dreamweaver at any time.
• Lastly, VerveWeb^TM 2.1 can now be used by clients who prefer Mozilla Firefox or MacIntosh Safari over Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
