The website redesign included:

• Central user registration and log-in that provides access to Members-only features.
• Custom-designed databases to house a fully-searchable online Adult Congenital Heart Defects Clinic Directory – the first of its kind in the world.
• Secured, online Personal Health Passport where patients with congenital heart defects can store, retrieve and print out their personal health information.
• Integrated login to ACHA's online message board.
• Secured online payment processing for Memberships, donations, and purchases using VerveTransact™ to tie payments directly into ACHA's merchant account.

Background

The Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the quality of life and extend the lives of adults with congenital heart defects through education, outreach, advocacy and promotion of research. ACHA looked to Verve Internet Solutions to redesign their website to provide a stronger visual impact, as well as improved functionality, for their stakeholders. The new design built upon ACHA's existing logo and color-scheme to create a vibrant graphic design. Verve balanced the serious medical content of the site with warm colors and playful icons. The overall effect is a friendly, user-centered website that provides convenient access to medical information.
